Prince Andrew, Duke of York , (Andrew Albert Christian Edward, born 19 February 1960), is a member of the British royal family. He is the third son and second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. At the time of his birth, he was second in line to the succession of the British throne; as of April 2018 he is seventh.
He held the rank of commander and the rank of honorary Vice Admiral (as of February 2015) in the Royal Navy, where he served as a pilot and instructor of active-duty helicopters and as captain of a warship. He saw active service during the Falklands War, flying on missions including anti-surface wars, Exocet missile baits, and evacuation of victims.
In 1986, Prince Andrew married Sarah Ferguson; the couple's marriage, the ensuing separation and divorce in 1996 attracted high levels of media coverage. As well as making various official agreements, he served as UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment until July 2011.

Early life and education
Prince Andrew was born in the Belgian Suite at Buckingham Palace on 19 February 1960, the third child and the second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Military services
The Royal Family announced in November 1978 that Prince Andrew would join the Royal Navy the following year. Relationship with Koo Stark
Prince Andrew met Koo Stark in February 1981, and they were close for two years, before and after his active service in the Falklands War. Alleged comments about corruption and Kazakhstan
As the United Kingdom's Special Trade Representative, the Duke of York travels the world to promote British business. It was revealed in a US diplomatic cable leak that Duke has been reported by Tatiana Gfoeller, the US ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, discussing bribery in Kyrgyzstan and an investigation into al-Yamamah's weapons deal. The Duke, he explained, "is referencing an investigation, then closing, into alleged bribes received by a senior Saudi aristocrat in return for a profitable BAE Systems contract annually to provide equipment and training for Saudi security forces." The delivery continued: "The subject of his mother sitting around the table roared their approval, and then he went on to this reporter, especially from the National Guardian [sic], who poked their noses everywhere, where 'and (probably) make it hard for the English businessmen to do business. Earlier in 2010, it was revealed that the father-in-law of Eastern Kazakhstan President-in-Law Kulibayev paid the Duke of York representatives £ 15 million - Ã, Â £ 3 million for the asking price - through an offshore company, to Duke Surrey mansion, Sunninghill Park. Friendship with Jeffrey Epstein
In March 2011, it was reported that Duke's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, a man with confidence in the US for asking minors for prostitution, resulted in a "steady stream of criticism". Sarah, Duchess of York, revealed that Duke helped arrange for Epstein to pay part of his debt. On April 7, 2015, Judge Kenneth Marra ruled that "allegations of sex committed against Prince Andrew in court documents filed in Florida must be attacked from public records". Marra made no decision whether Roberts' claim was right or wrong, specifically stating that Roberts would be able to provide evidence when the case was brought to justice.
Meeting with Ilham Aliyev

Duke is a capable golfer, playing a low one handicap. Private flag for Canada
Since 2014, the Duke of York has a private herald flag for use in Canada. It is the Royal Arms of Canada in the form of a blue rounded banner surrounded by a series of gold maple leaves, which is a portrayal of a "A" that is overcome by a coroner. On top of the bundle there is a three point white label, the center point filled with anchor.
