Plot

In 1945, the United States formed the Division, a government agency that tracks, captures, and experiments on people who have psychic abilities, creating an arms race for superpowers. Every psychic is categorized into various groups based on what power they have. Decades later, two "Movers", teenager Nick Gant and his father Yunus, hide from Agen Carver, a "Pusher" Division. Jonah tells Nick he receives a vision from a "Watcher" about a young girl Nick should help to lower the Division. Nick escapes while Jonah is killed by Carver.

Years later, Carver has developed a drug that can improve psychic abilities. All test subjects have died, until a Pusher named Kira manages to adapt to him. However, he ran away, stealing drug injections and fleeing to Hong Kong. Nick lives in Hong Kong as an expatriate, but is visited by Cassie Holmes, a gloomy teen observer whose mother, Sarah, is considered the strongest Watcher and assisted in Kira's escape. Cassie convinces Nick to help him find a suitcase of stolen drugs. They were attacked by a Chinese triad, led by a "blackmailer", his two sons, and a daughter of the Watcher dubbed "Pop Girl". Nick was badly wounded by Bleeders, but healed by Teresa Stowe, "Stitch" opportunistic.

Using images created by Cassie, he and Nick track down Kira, who is actually Nick's ex-boyfriend. Kira hides the case and then has "Wiper" erasing his memory of his location. Nick recruits "Shadows" named Pinky to protect Kira from the Spy Scouts' view. Cassie tries to predict the location of the case, competing with the more powerful but arrogant Pop Girl. Nick's group escaped from Bleeders before parting. Nick meets Carver and his assistant Victor, the talented Mover, learns Kira will fall ill without drug support. Battle Movers until Carver leaves, wanting the current future to go as planned. Cassie found the lock of Kira's shoe that opened the locker above the construction site where the box was hidden.

To distract Carver and the triads, Nick proposes a complicated plan to get the medicine and eliminate their enemies. He made several envelopes containing instructions for each of his friends, including "Shifter" Hook Waters and fortune teller "Sniff" Emily Wu, and hired a Wiper that erased Kira's memory to do the same against plans to get rid of Pop Girl. Kait puts the case, makes a duplicate and a syringe, while Pinky gives Kira to Carver as part of the plan. Carver then encourages him to believe that he is actually a Division agent and his relationship with Nick is a lie.

Cassie is confronted by Pop Girl, only for the Wiper that appears and erases the girl's memory, as instructed by Nick. Nick, after regaining his memory, visits Carver, finds Kira's brainwashing. They travel to a construction site where Carver unknowingly takes on a fake case, but a triad arrives, leading to a long battle between various factions. During the fight, members of the triads and Victor were killed. Nick caught the fake syringe and injected himself into it, apparently dying. After Kira and Carver leave, Cassie shows up, revealing Nick is alive. They took the original box and syringe from the bin, planning to use it to free Cassie's mother from the Division, who had predicted the whole narrative and planned it before she was arrested.

In the final scene, Kira finds her unopened envelope, which contains photographs that prove her relationship with Nick is real. He then encourages Carver to commit suicide.

"

Michael Rechtshaffen of The Hollywood Reporter gave a negative review: "While the concepts of various Movers (those who have telekinetic talent), Watchers (clairvoyants) and, of course, Pushers (mind control with the ability to change memories someone) and put it in an attractive, stylish Asian background, images rarely rise to the occasion. "Tasha Robinson from The AV The club is more positive about the movie, giving it a B: "Superhero fans will likely be a Push just for the cool factor-watching the fought heroes and criminals in a tense war of intelligence, will, and skill. The wider audience is less likely to come for travel, this particular gateway drug has at least the ambition and the brain for it, as well as the usual seizure style.
