"I Will Not Be Moved..." is a spiritual African American. The song depicts how the singer is "like a tree planted in water" that "will not be moved" because of their faith in God. Secularly, like "We Will Not Be Moved" it is gaining popularity as a Civil Rights Movement, a protest, and a union singing.
This text is based on some of the biblical scriptures, ie, Jeremiah 17: 8-9 - Blessed are those who believe in God, and whose hope is God. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, and stretches its roots by the river, and will not see when it comes to heat, but its leaves will be green; and will not be careful in the year of drought, will not stop producing fruit.
In England in the 1980s this song was used by popular wrestler Big Daddy as his walk-on music, which will be greeted by cheers from the fans. "We Will Not Be Moved" was sung at home by supporters of Leicester City Football Club in the English Football League Association.
David Spener has written a book documenting the history of this song's title, including how it was translated into Spanish that changed the first single form into the plural first person, "No Nos MoverÃÆ'án".
